SABATON Issue Animated Story Video For ‘The Red Baron’ Track

Falun, Sweden-based power metal band Sabaton have released an official animated story video for the track ‘The Red Baron’, which can be viewed below.

Regarding the clip, the band stated: “This is the animated story of Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, which inspired our song ‘The Red Baron’.”

Sabaton issued ninth full-length studio album The Great War on July 19th, 2019 through Nuclear Blast Records.

The Great War is a concept album that covers stories from the First World War. The band commented: “This is not the first time we sing about stories from this period in time, but now we felt the timing was right to make a full concept album about this war.”

Recordings for The Great War began exactly 100 years after the end of the First World War (November 11th, 1918) and took three months to complete. The outing was recorded with their long term producer and collaborator Jonas Kjellgren at Black Lounge studios in Sweden, while mastering was handled by Maor Appelbaum.

Cover artwork was once again created by Peter Sallaí.

Music videos were filmed for the tracks ‘Fields Of Verdun’, ‘Great War’, ‘Seven Pillars Of Wisdom’, ‘Devil Dogs’ and ‘The Attack Of The Dead Men’, while an animated building block music video was released for the song ‘The Future Of Warfare’. In addition, official lyric videos was created for the tracks, ‘The Future Of Warfare’, ‘Seven Pillars Of Wisdom’, ‘82nd All The Way’ (two separate versions), ‘The Attack Of The Dead Men’, ‘Devil Dogs’, ‘The Red Baron’ (two separate versions), ‘Great War’, ‘A Ghost In The Trenches’, ‘Fields Of Verdun’, ‘The End Of The War To End All Wars’ and ‘In Flanders Fields’ (two separate versions). All 20 clips can be viewed below.

Eighth studio record The Last Stand was released in August 2016.
