ABBATH Make New Album ‘Dread Reaver’ Available For Streaming In Its Entirety

Norwegian metal band Abbath issue third full-length studio album Dread Reaver on March 25th, 2022 through Season Of Mist.

The outing can be streamed in its entirety via YouTube below.

Dread Reaver was produced by Endre Kirkesola, Abbath, and Dag Erik Nygaard at Dub Studio in Kristiansand and Bergen Lydstudio, respectively. Kirkesola and Nygaard also engineered. Mixing was handled by Abbath and Kirkesola, while mastering was conducted by Maor Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum Mastering in Los Angeles.

Dread Reaver includes a cover interpretation of the track ‘Trapped Under Ice’, originally recorded by Metallica. Written by James Hetfield (vocals and rhythm guitars), Lars Ulrich (drums) and Kirk Hammett (lead guitars), its original version was featured on July 1984 album Ride The Lightning.

Cover artwork was designed by Bjørn Stian Bjoarvik.

Abbath (vocals, guitars and bass)
Ole André Farstad (guitars)
Mia Wallace (bass on the tracks ‘Acid Haze’, ‘Scarred Core’, ‘The Deep Unbound’ and ‘Dread Reaver’)
Ukri Suviletho (drums)

Directed by Francisco Munoz, a music video was filmed for the track ‘Dream Cull’. In addition, an official lyric video was created for the song ‘The Book Of Breath’. Both clips can be viewed below.

Second Abbath studio record Outstrider was released in July 2019 via Season Of Mist.
