FIRE FOR EFFECT, Featuring Former MALEVOLENT CREATION Members, Sign Album Contract With Agonia Records

New York City-based death metal group Fire For Effect have signed an album contract with Agonia Records, revealing this development on June 20th, 2018.
Fire For Effect commented: “Hey guys, We are very happy to announce that we will be working with Agonia Records. As you can see, we are working hard and rehearsing our songs that will be appearing on our debut album coming out later this year. You all will be very pleased with what you hear.”
Prior to signing to Agonia Records, Fire For Effect played several gigs, released initial three-track demo Into The Breach, and reviewed several other record deal offers. Originally launched as the solo project of guitarist Gio Geraca, Fire For Effect took shape when Bret Hoffmann assumed vocal duties, with the duo subsequently exiting Malevolent Creation.
Briefly joining were bassist Tony Choy, currently of Atheist and formerly of Cynic and Pestilence, and Suffocation’s founding drummer in Mike Smith. Smith was replaced in 2018 by former Hate Eternal member Derek Roddy, with bassist Paul McBride completing Fire For Effect’s line-up.
