TYSONDOG Part Ways With Vocalist John “Clutch” Carruthers

Newcastle, England-born heavy metal band Tysondog have parted ways with long-time lead vocalist John “Clutch” Carruthers, revealing this development on December 30th, 2017.

Bass player Kevin Wynn issued the following statement: “Confirmation today our dear friend and vocalist John ‘Clutch’ Carruthers will quit Tysondog and the music business altogether due to illness. We wish him well and thank him for all the great memories.

“We are currently writing and rehearsing new material for our fourth album, due late 2018. No decision yet on a replacement vocalist.”

Carruthers joined Tysondog in 1983 and appeared on all three of the band’s full-length studio albums to date; Beware Of The Dog (1984), Crimes Of Insanity (1986), and Cry Havoc (2015).
