TRIAL Launch Music Video For Cover Version Of FLEETWOOD MAC’s ‘Sisters Of The Moon’
January 31st, 2021

Trollhättan, Sweden-based metal band Trial issued two-track EP Sisters Of The Moon on January 29th, 2021 through Metal Blade Records.

Sisters Of The Moon marks the recording debut of frontman Arthur W. Andersson, who replaced predecessor Linus Johansson during 2019.

Comprising of cover renditions of the tracks ‘Sisters Of The Moon’ and ‘Die Young’, recorded during the summer of 2020. Written by Fleetwood Mac’s vocalist Stevie Nicks, the original version of ‘Sisters Of The Moon’ was featured on Fleetwood Mac’s October 1979 outing Tusk. Authored by the respective band as a whole, meanwhile, ‘Die Young’ appeared on April 1980 Black Sabbath jaunt Heaven And Hell.

“With ‘Sisters Of The Moon’, we decided to pay tribute to one of the biggest bands out there, the Mighty Mac,” Trial commented. “Our version is a different take than the original, filled with blazing guitar duels and piercing vocals. This is a side of Trial you’ve never heard before,” the band explained. “For our Sabbath cover, it all made sense to record ‘Die Young’, as it is the most outstanding song on Heaven And Hell. This one is more true to the original, and we are happy to share both of the songs with you.”

Sisters Of The Moon was recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Olof Berggren, while cover artwork was created by Costin Chioreanu.

The track listing is as follows:

01. ‘Sisters Of The Moon’ (Fleetwood Mac cover)
02. ‘Die Young’ (Black Sabbath cover)

Trial’s line-up is as follows:

Arthur W. Andersson (vocals)
Alexander Ellstrom (guitars)
Andreas Johnsson (guitars)
Andreas Olsson (bass)
Martin Svensson (drums)

Sisters Of The Moon was made available in the following coloured seven-inch vinyl formats; black (EU exclusive – limited to 222 copies), and gold (EU exclusive – limited to 111 copies).

Directed and edited by Costin Chioreanu, a music video was created for the title track. The clip can be viewed below.

Third studio record Motherless was released in April 2017 via Metal Blade Records.
