STRYPER Release Tenth Studio Album Proper ‘Even The Devil Believes’
September 4th, 2020

American Christian heavy metal band Stryper issued tenth full-length studio album proper Even The Devil Believes on September 4th, 2020 through Frontiers Music Srl.

Frontman Michael Sweet commented: “We’re incredibly happy to write a new chapter in the book of Stryper. This album was recorded during the pandemic, and I believe the message pertains to the times we are living in so perfectly. It’s a recording of hope and inspiration and a light in the darkest of times.

“It has an energy unlike any other album we’ve done. We even pulled a song from the past that has never been heard or released, and by doing so we brought a little bit of 1989 back into the mix.”

Even The Devil Believes was produced by Michael Sweet at SpiritHouse Recording Studios in Northampton, Massachusetts.

The outing marks the first Stryper album to feature bassist Perry Richardson. The former Firehouse bass player was recruited in October 2017 to replace longtime member Tim Gaines. However, Richardson was unable to play on the band’s last album God Damn Evil due to scheduling conflicts.

The track listing is as follows:

01. ‘Blood From Above’
02. ‘Make Love Great Again’
03. ‘Let Him In’
04. ‘Do Unto Others’
05. ‘Even The Devil Believes’
06. ‘How To Fly’
07. ‘Divider’
08. ‘This I Pray’
09. ‘Invitation Only’
10. ‘For God & Rock ’N’ Roll’
11. ‘Middle Finger Messiah’

Stryper’s line-up is as follows:

Michael Sweet (vocals)
Oz Fox (guitar)
Perry Richardson (bass, ex-Firehouse / ex-Maxx Warrior)
Robert Sweet (drums)

Produced, directed and edited by Jamie Brown, music videos were filmed for the track ‘Do Unto Others’ and ‘Divider’. In addition, official lyric videos were created for the songs ‘Blood From Above’ and ‘Make Love Great Again’. All three clips can also be viewed below.

Ninth full-length studio album proper God Damn Evil was released in April 2018 via Frontiers Music Srl.
