GHOST Release Fourth Studio Album ‘Prequelle’
June 1st, 2018

Swedish occult rock group Ghost issued fourth full-length studio album Prequelle on June 1st, 2018 through Spinefarm / Loma Vista Recordings.

Prequelle was recorded in 2017 at Artery Studios in Stockholm with producer Tom Dalgety. Mixing was handled by Andy Wallace in January 2018 at Westlake Studios in West Hollywood, California.

Prequelle marks the introduction of Ghost’s new leader, Cardinal Copia, whose live debut took place on April 6th, 2018 at a private, three-song acoustic performance in Chicago.

The last Papa, Papa Emeritus III, was forcibly removed from the stage during the final show of Ghost’s Meliora tour cycle in autumn 2017, with Papa Zero arriving to announce the beginning of “the Middle Ages.” Each and every Papa – with the exception of the elder Zero – and Cardinal Copia are portrayed by the same individual, founder and vocalist Tobias Forge.

Cardinal Copia’s first full-on live performance with Ghost took place on May 5th, 2018 in Riverside, California.

The track listing is as follows;

01. ‘Ashes’
02. ‘Rats’
03. ‘Faith’
04. ‘See The Light’
05. ‘Miasma’
06. ‘Dance Macabre’
07. ‘Pro Memoria’
08. ‘Witch Image’
09. ‘Helvetesfönster’
10. ‘Life Eternal’

Music videos were filmed for the tracks ‘Rats’, ‘Dance Macabre’ and ‘Life Eternal’. In addition, an official lyric music video was created for the song ‘Faith’. All four clips can be viewed below.

Third studio record Meliora was released in August 2015 via Loma Vista Recordings (excluding Scandinavia).
