DEATHSTARS Premiere ‘Everything Destroys You’ Music Video
May 11th, 2023

Swedish industrial metal band Deathstars have filmed a music video for the title track of their latest album Everything Destroys You. Directed by Damón Zurawski for Future Legends Films, the clip can be viewed below.

Speaking about the video, frontman Andreas “Whiplasher Bernadotte” Bergh said: “‘Everything Destroys You’ is a video that literally destroys the band. We have killed the band in quite a few of our videos, and for those who want to see us dead once again this is another excellent opportunity to see that happen. On one hand you could see Nightmare [Emil Nödtveidt, lead guitar] busy behind swaying chains in the cellar, while Skinny [Jonas Kangur, bass] is working on a double bass at the same time as I got electric shocks from a depraved nurse.”

Deathstars issued fifth full-length studio album Everything Destroys You on May 5th, 2023 through Nuclear Blast Records.

Everything Destroys You was produced by lead guitarist Emil “Nightmare Industries” Nödtveidt at Black Syndicate in Stockholm, Sweden, and was mixed and mastered by Jay Ruston in Los Angeles, California.

Predecessor The Perfect Cult was released just shy of nine years previous, in 2014. “The reason it’s been taking so long is that we simply wanted – and needed – a break after intense touring and so on, and on top of that the pandemic happened so tours were postponed and the release with them, so it feels fantastic to finally be able to present Everything Destroys You,” said lead guitarist Emil “Nightmare Industries” Nödtveidt.

“This album is more of an outgoing piece and feels well calibrated when it comes to illustrating the band’s world for the last years,” added frontman Andreas “Whiplasher Bernadotte” Bergh.

Everything Destroys You is autobiographical in nature, it is suggested. “Everything Destroys You is the face of the excesses of our nights of opulence in the city. We always write about our lives, and there’s no fiction, spirituality, or soul in the marrow of Deathstars,” said Bergh. “It’s just the scarred city life in the raw.”

The track listing is as follows:

01. ‘This Is’
02. ‘Midnight Party’
03. ‘Anti All’
04. ‘Everything Destroys You’
05. ‘Between Volumes and Voids’
06. ‘An Atomic Prayer’
07. ‘Blood For Miles’
08. ‘The Churches Of Oil’
09. ‘The Infrahuman Masterpiece’
