COBRA SPELL Premiere ‘The Midnight Hour’ Music Video
April 7th, 2022

International hard rock / heavy metal band Cold Spell have filmed a music video for the track ‘The Midnight Hour’, which can be viewed below.

Guitarist Sonia Anubis commented: “Let me tell you; this song is the sleaziest song of the our collection. I was searching to create a song that took you back to the groovier sexy 80s songs. A song that could make anyone feel the heat off the rhythm and dance all night. Want to make your boring party fun? Well, add this song to your party playlist and a reckless night is guaranteed.

“Composition wise, I was trying to discover a more blues rock approach in song-writing. I feel like this is our grooviest track, and mean hard rocking one for sure.”

Cobra Spell issued four-song EP Anthems Of The Night independently on March 31st, 2022.

Anthems Of The Night was recorded in December 2021 at Comeback Studios in Spain, and produced, mixed and mastered by Alejandro Gabasa Barcoj.

Cover artwork was created by Velio Josto.

The track listing is as follows:

01. ‘Addicted To The Night’
02. ‘Steal My Heart Away’
03. ‘The Midnight Hour’
04. ‘Accelerate’

Cobra Spell’s line-up is as follows:

Alexx Panza (vocals, Hitten / Jack Starr’s Burning Starr)
Sonia Anubis (guitar, Crypta / ex-Burning Witches)
Esmée Van Sinderen (guitar)
Angelina Vehera (bass)
Léonard Cakolli (drums)

Directed by Jens de Vos, a music video was filmed for the track ‘Addicted To The Night’, while an official guitar playthrough video was also released for the song. Both clips can also be viewed below.

Speaking about the song, Sonia Anubis said: “This song speaks about the combined addiction to drugs and nightlife. A man follows his nocturnal routine at the strip club. The excess of drugs and sex make the party seem like a huge blast. Just as the party passes its peak, he needs more to let it last just a little longer. He eventually comes down, and subsequently, the party is not as fun when he is not high — the people at the club are not as pretty anymore, the atmosphere turns uncomfortable and grim, and he ends up all alone. It’s all a fantasy created by his brain and the drugs. To numb his pain, he repeats it the next night all over again.”

Debut four-song EP Love Venom was independently released in September 2020.
