ANVIL Release 18th Studio Album ‘Legal At Last’
February 14th, 2020

Toronto, Ontario, Canada-based metal band Anvil issued 18th full-length studio album Legal At Last on February 14th, 2020 through AFM Records.

Legal At Last is mainly about two things,” drummer Robb Reiner explained while pointing to the cover artwork. “We celebrate the legalisation of the Anvil bong because Canada changed its marihuana laws last year, which means we no longer sail close to the wind all the time. That’s why the album title announces that Anvil are legal at last.”

“Our fans have always known that, but the public at large treated us like criminals for a long time,” added frontman Steve ‘Lips’ Kudlow. “Legal At Last is our way of telling the public: ‘It’s okay, Anvil are okay, you’re allowed to like us at last!’”

Legal At Last was produced by Martin “Mattes” Pfeiffer, and mixed by Jörg Uken at his Soundlodge studio in Rhauderfehn, Germany.

Cover artwork was created by W. Cliff Knese.
