AIRBOURNE Premiere ‘Backseat Boogie’ Music Video
October 30th, 2019

Melbourne, Australia-based hard rock band Airbourne have released a music video for the track ‘Backseat Boogie’. Directed by Richard Oakes (Dark Fable Media), the clip can be viewed below.

Speaking about the video, frontman Joel O’Keeffe said:“Half filmed at a soundcheck last Tuesday and half filmed at a crazy sold out Danish club show – here’s ‘Backseat Boogie’ to whet your appetite for a mega 2020 and the start (yes, the START) of a two year Boneshaker World Tour.”

Airbourne issued fifth full-length studio album Boneshaker on October 25th, 2019 through Spinefarm Records. The deluxe CD version of the record will feature three bonus live tracks.

Boneshaker was recorded at the historic RCA Studio A in Nashville, Tennessee with Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb.

Frontman Joel O’Keeffe commented: “It’s a live gig in the studio. This is always something we wanted to do – find a way to bring the soul and power of an Airbourne live show into an album. Cobb caught our lightning and put it in a bottle.”

The cover artwork for Boneshaker is a collaboration between Matt Read of Combustion Ltd, and Sean Tidy of Design House Studio Ltd.

On the topic of the artwork, guitarist Matthew Harrison said: “The whole sentiment we were after was about rock ‘n’ roll for life. We wanted to create something tattoo worthy, and that the artwork was classic and stood the test of time.”

The track listing is as follows:

01. ‘Boneshaker’
02. ‘Burnout The Nitro’
03. ‘This Is Our City’
04. ‘Sex To Go’
05. ‘Backseat Boogie’
06. ‘Blood In The Water’
07. ‘She Gives Me Hell’
08. ‘Switchblade Angel’
09. ‘Weapon Of War’
10. ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll For Life’

Airbourne’s line-up is as follows;

Joel O’Keeffe (vocals and lead guitar)
Matthew Harrison (rhythm guitar)
Justin Street (bass)

Filmed and edited by Tom Russell and featuring footage shot during the band’s mainstage performance at this year’s Wacken festival in Germany, and headline set at the Skogsrojet festival in Sweden, a music video was released for the title track. The clip can also be viewed below.
