Bland band name, crap album cover, silly song titles and yet here I am partying along to such woeful trash as ‘Speed Metal Militia’, ‘Underage Intoxication’ and ‘Shut Up And Gimme A Beer’. The humour, if you want to call it that, is lost on me. In fact, the whole EP is generic party thrash metal that will only appeal to the small circle of idiotic friends this Swedish / English combo has, but depending on my mood I may find a charm to such speedy retaliatory garbage.
This is somewhat of a DIY thrash outing, but the novelty wears off after a few listens as each track gallops along like some poor leftover from the early 80s UK punk scene as ‘London Streets’ rambles with an almost urban grit mixed with, say, Anihilated. Of all the cuts it’s probably ‘Speed Metal Bench’ that works most with its extra bite, especially in the vocal department, but this is still 25 minutes of my life I won’t get back.
