TERROR UNIVERSAL Part Ways With Vocalist, Reveal Replacement
April 14th, 2015

American horror metal group Terror Universal have parted ways with vocalist Chad “Rott” Armstrong and recruited “Plague” as his replacement, revealing this development on April 14th, 2015.

Terror Universal issued the following statement: “Plague was actually on our short list of original candidates, to try out for Terror Universal back in October 2014. But at the time, other obligations prevented him from auditioning for the position.

“After only two rehearsals, we are extremely impressed with Plague’s work ethic, and performance at the Texas Independence Fest this past weekend in Austin, Texas.

“We are pleased to announce that we will immediately continue writing new Terror Universal music, and move forward with finishing a full-length, to be released in the next few months.”

Terror Universal cited “personal differences” and recent events for the split with Armstrong, which came just weeks after Otep frontwoman Otep Shamaya alleged that Armstrong groped her crotch while on tour in February 2015. Armstrong’s wife Jenny strongly denied the claim, while organisers for the Civil Unrest tour stated “Otep is not telling the truth.”

Terror Universal’s line-up is as follows;

“Plague” (vocals)
Ahrue “Diabolus” Luster (guitars, Ill Niño / ex-Machine Head)
“Thrax” (guitars)
Dave “Massacre” Chavarri (drums)

EP Reign Of Terror was released in February 2015.
