SHAAM LAREIN Releases Live Performance Video For ‘Life’s Coma’ Track
October 6th, 2020

Uppsala, Sweden-based goth / doom rock musician Shaam Larein has released an official live performance video for the track ‘Life’s Coma’. Directed by former In Solitude bassist Gottfrid Åhman, the clip can be viewed below.

Speaking about the song, Shaam Larein said: “We enter with a focus knowing sincerely that it will not last. As soon as you start to hear the instruments and the vocals you slowly fade away.

“I have accepted that this song controls us in a way when we play it, especially the vocals, very often I can hear ourselves screaming the words instead of singing it beautifully, but it doesn’t matter, because I know that the power we build up within us and pass out to our listeners is what matters. You just got to disappear in ‘Life’s Coma’.”

Shaam Larein issued debut full-length studio album Sculpture on January 31st, 2020 through Icons Creating Evil Art.

Larein commented: “My inspiration comes from a wide range of artist, the sombre and gloomy as well as the lucent and dazzling. Sculpture have become a pit of many expressions, where I have created freely. Since I come from the Middle East myself, it becomes quite obvious in my creation that that touch comes in and mixes with the heavy rock we play. It may not be so obvious to all listeners, but it usually falls into place for those who knows the Middle Eastern sound. The scales are pretty clear in the songs.”

Album cover artwork was created by former In Solitude vocalist Pelle Åhman, while the layout was pieced together by Watain frontman Erik Danielsson.

The track listing is as follows:

01. ‘Aurora’
02. ‘Volcano’
03. ‘Life’s Coma’
