SEPTIC TANK Make ‘Death Vase’ Track Available For Streaming
April 6th, 2018

London, England-based hardcore thrash metal band Septic Tank – featuring former members of Cathedral – have made the track ‘Death Vase’ available for streaming through YouTube, which can be accessed below.

Septic Tank issue their debut full-length studio album Rotting Civilisation on April 13th, 2018 through Rise Above Records.

Septic Tank was originally formed in 1994 as an outlet for Cathedral’s love of Discharge, Siege and other hardcore luminaries, the original line-up featuring vocalist Lee Dorrian (Cathedral), guitarist Gary Jennings (Cathedral), bassist Scott Carlson (Repulsion), and drummer Barry Stern (ex-Trouble).

A handful of tracks were written, with Septic Tank jamming together on a few occasions, but the band lay dormant for almost two decades due to a combination of logistics, geography and life getting in the way.

“We talked about doing it again many times, but it took us 20 years to make a record,” Dorrian explains. “Black Sabbath were doing their so-called last-ever show in Birmingham and Scott wanted to come over for that, so I suggested we got together and did an album while he was here. He stayed over for five days. Fourteen of the songs were already roughly written but not rehearsed, another eight or so came up on the spot and were recorded straight away, and that was it. It took us over 20 years but I’m really happy we did it.”

Rotting Civilisation was recorded and mixed by drummer Jaime Gómez Arellano at his own Orgone Studios in Woburn, England.

Cover artwork was created by Stewart Easton.
