SCORPIONS Forced To Cancel Remainder Of North American Tour With MEGADETH

German heavy metal / hard rock group Scorpions have been forced to cancel the remaining five dates of their current North American tour.

Scorpions issued to following statement: “The Scorpions regretfully announce that due to severe laryngitis, the remainder of the U.S. 2017 tour will be cancelled. Klaus Meine has been advised by top throat specialist in Los Angeles to rest his voice. If he continues the tour, he could risk permanent vocal damage. The band stated, ‘[We] truly hate to disappoint our fans, and hope to come back to America soon, but this time we have no choice but to cancel’.”

Ticket refunds for the cancelled shows in Phoenix, San Antonio, Dallas, Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa can be obtained at points of purchase.

Scorpions had been performing in North America as part of a package dubbed Crazy World Tour to celebrate the band’s 1990 album of the same name. Special guests on the trek were Los Angeles, California-born thrash metal band Megadeth.

Sep 30 – Seattle, Washington, Tacoma Dome
Oct. 03 – Reno, Nevada, Grand Sierra Resort
Oct. 04 – Oakland, California, Oracle Arena
Oct. 07 – Los Angeles, California, The Forum
Oct. 08 – Phoenix, Arizona, Talking Stick Arena *
Oct. 11 – San Antonio, Texas, Freeman Coliseum *

Eighteenth Scorpions studio record Return To Forever was released in February 2015 via UME in the United States.
