SAHG Issue Lyric Video For ‘Blood Of Oceans’ Track
November 11th, 2016

Bergen, Norway-based doom metal band Sahg have released an official lyric video for the track ‘Blood Of Oceans’, which can be viewed below. ‘Blood Of Oceans’ is the first Sahg song ever to feature Norwegian lyrics, and was co-written by Wardruna frontman and original Sahg drummer, Einar Selvik.

Frontman Olav Iversen commented: “‘Blood Of Oceans’ is inspired by the history and tradition of living on the stormy western coast of Norway, where all the members of Sahg hail from. The ruthless conditions here makes the ocean the dominant force of nature, which has huge impact on the lives of those who live as its nearest neighbours – in good ways, and in bad. The ocean giveth and the ocean taketh away. It has a god-like role in these people’s lives, similar to how the old norse related to nature.

“Former band member Einar Selvik also shares this background. He has grown to become one of the most prominent artists and composers in norse-inspired music, and we are very pleased that he wanted to contribute, and lift the song to new heights.”

Sahg issued fifth full-length studio album Memento Mori on September 23rd, 2016 through Indie Recordings.

The track listing is as follows;

01. ‘Black Unicorn’
02. ‘Devilspeed’
03. ‘Take It To The Grave’
04. ‘Silence The Machines’
05. ‘Sanctimony’
06. ‘(Praise The) Electric Sun’
07. ‘Travellers Of Space And Light’
08. ‘Blood Of Oceans’

Sahg’s line-up is as follows;
