RAMMSTEIN Issue Third ‘Making Of’ Webisode For ‘Rammstein: Paris’ DVD / Blu-ray
May 24th, 2017

Berlin, Germany-based industrial metal band Rammstein issued a director’s cut of their live concert film Rammstein: Paris on May 19th, 2017. The outing was made available on DVD, Blu-ray, CD and vinyl, as well as digitally.

The third and final webisode featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the making Rammstein: Paris has been released and can also viewed below.

Rammstein: Paris was filmed over two nights using 30 cameras at the Palais Omnisports arena in Paris, France on March 6th and 7th, 2012 during the band’s Made In Germany 1995 – 2011 tour.

Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund commented: “Concert films are always a big challenge. I compare it to shooting fireworks. The way I approach it is to try to translate the energy that you get in the room onto film, using every trick in the book to make as much of an impression as I can on the audience.

“This is a two-hour-twenty-minute show, and I take the footage and cut it with the same precision that I would a three or four-minute music video. Even with a big crew of editors, it took us over a year to nail down the edit.”
