RAGE Announce New Line-Up

Bochum, Germany-based power metal group Rage revealed a fresh line-up on June 18th, 2015, which is as follows;

Peter ‘Peavy’ Wagner (vocals and bass)
Marcos Rodriguez (guitar and backing vocals)
Vassilios ‘Lucky’ Maniatopoulos (drums and backing vocals)

Vocalist / bassist ‘Peavy’ Wagner issued the following statement: “There were quite a couple of proposals from established musicians, but this wasn’t what I was looking for. I wanted to have a real band again with all members pulling in the same direction. These two guys have literally inhaled Rage their whole lives and can vividly feel it — I’m very much looking forward to herald a new era of Rage together with them.”

Marcos Rodriguez was born in Venezuela, and resides in Antwerpen, Belgium at the time of writing. The 36-year-old guitarist met Wagner on Rage’s 30th anniversary tour, for which his ensemble Soundchaser provided support on parts of the track.

Residing in Burscheid, Vassilios ‘Lucky’ Maniatopoulos is the vocalist of Tri State Corner. A former drum student and drum technician of erstwhile Rage and current Tri State Corner sticksman Christos Efthimiadis, Maniatopoulos is a longtime friend of Wagner’s.

Rage’s new line-up will make its live debut at Metal Hammer Paradise, Ferienpark Weissenhäuser Strand, Germany on November 14th.

Compilation album The Soundchaser Archives was released in May 2014.
