NEAL SCHON Releases Live Concert Recording ‘Journey Through Time’

American rock guitarist Neal Schon, member of Journey, issued live concert recording Journey Through Time on May 19th, 2023 through Frontiers Music Srl. The outing was made available in the following formats: 3CD + DVD digipak, Blu-ray, and digital.

Journey Through Time was recorded on February 9th, 2018 at The Independent In San Francisco, California, and included former Journey and Santana musician Gregg Rolie on keyboards and vocals, alongside current Journey member Deen Castronovo on drums and vocals, Marco Mendoza (ex-Thin Lizzy / ex-Whitesnake) on bass, and John Varn on keyboards and vocals.

Performing to a sold out crowd for a benefit show to raise money for victims of the fires that had ravaged the North Bay area of the San Francisco region in October 2017, the band played songs spanning Journey’s entire catalogue, largely focusing on the band’s 70s repertoire, including the band’s first three albums, Journey (1975), Look Into The Future (1976) and Next (1977).
