MYOORA Unveil Music Video For New Single ‘Worlds Away’
August 14th, 2020

Sydney, Australia-based instrumental progressive rock / metal duo Myoora have filmed a musuc video for track ‘Worlds Away’. Directed by Chris Quyen, the clip can be viewed below.

Myoora issued ‘Worlds Away’ as a digital single on August 14th, 2020. The song is available via Myoora’s official Bandcamp page here.

‘Worlds Away’ was written and arranged by guitarists Daniel Nesci and Daniel Pinto.

“Since the last release, both of us have really been trying to focus on getting through one of the busiest years of our lives,” said Pinto. “I’ve finished university just recently and Daniel Nesci is currently undertaking his HSC. If anything, the music that we are currently creating is definitely more reflective of what we are both feeling at this stage of our lives. Any chance we have, we try to pour it all out in our writing.

“The idea behind this track actually began about five years ago. I came up with the intro chord progression and had written around three or four different songs based around that same progression. However, it just never felt complete. It was my dream to release it, but I never felt that the time was right. During quarantine, we got the time to really hone this idea – we put so much energy into trying to take what was happening in the world and to then turn it into something more positive.

“The title ‘Worlds Away’ pretty much means we are all worlds away at the moment – everyone has been separated from the life that they once lived. However, there will be a point in time where we will overcome all these barriers and come out the other end stronger – that’s kind of the idea behind this track.”

On ‘Worlds Away’, Nesci and Pinto were once again joined by bassist Jacob Umanksy and drummer Nathan Bulla.

‘Worlds Away’ was co-produced and engineered by Jake Howsam Lowe, with orchestration and additional production by Randy Slaugh. Mixing was handled by Adam Bentley, while mastering duties fell to Ermin Hamidovic (Systematic Productions).

Cover artwork was created by Alex Pryle.

Myoora’s recording line-up was as follows:

Daniel Nesci (guitars)
Daniel Pinto (guitars)
Jacob Umanksy (session bass)
Nathan Bulla (session drums)

Debut EP The Far & Few was released independently in November 2019.
