INFECTED RAIN Release Fifth Studio Album ‘Ecdysis’

Chisinau, Moldova-based metal band Infected Rain issued fifth full-length studio album Ecdysis on January 7th, 2022 through Napalm Records.
Ecdysis was produced by Valentin Voluta, once again. The track ‘The Realm Of Chaos’ features guest vocals from Butcher Babies member Heidi Shepherd.
Frontwoman Lena Scissorhands commented: “While the whole world was in a deep depression, Ecdysis was slowly but surely maturing. The time in isolation away from all our plans and goals, away from loved ones and the stage, brought out something so new and different in us. A new chapter starts with this album, a chapter of raw emotions and complete commitment.”

A music video was filmed for the track ‘Postmortem Pt. 1’. “‘Postmortem Pt. 1’ is about the constant search,” Lena Scissorhands shared. “The never happy, never content… Blind to the real treasures of life, we constantly want more and more…”
In addition, a music video was filmed for the song ‘Fighter’. “Inspired by strong women who never give up, ‘Fighter’ is a reminder of the here and now!,’” Lena Scissorhands described. “‘Fighter’ is a reminder of strength and potential. ‘Today right now, all you’ve got is this!’”
Also, a music video was shot for the track ‘The Realm Of Chaos’, featuring Heidi Shepherd of Butcher Babies – as mentioned.
“‘The Realm Of Chaos’ was inspired by the massive depression we all lived in 2020, dedicated to the lost nation and confused society we live in,” Lena Scissorhands said. “Together with my friend Heidi from Butcher Babies, we implore everyone to stop running and start seeing the tragic reality we all live in.”
Heidi Shepherd added: “Infected Rain have quickly become one of my favourite bands with some of my favourite people. It’s an honour to scream alongside Lena and the boys in their latest single. Everything IR touches turns to gold; this song and video are no exception. Over the past two years, this has been the feature that has been requested more times that I can count. Can’t wait to give the fans what they want in ‘The Realm Of Chaos’!”
And as well, a music video for the track ‘Longing’. “Never happy, never content!,” Lena Scissorhands said. “We spend our life craving and longing for things that someone else has or for things that we think will make us happy. A picture immaculate, perfectly designed. A story in which you’re always desired. What is happiness really?”
