GODSNAKE Release Lyric Video For ‘Apocalypse For Free’ Track
May 12th, 2023

Hamburg, Germany-based melodic thrash metal band Godsnake have released an official lyric video for the track ‘Apocalypse For Free’. Created by Drain Hope, the clip can be viewed below.

Regarding the song, the band stated: “The term apocalypse as used in this song, describes the steady movement of civilized society and all its achievements towards its downfall. The decay of customs and morals, and especially lack of humanity are omnipresent and continuous. The apocalypse as a horror scenario of the end of the world is thus available to everyone for free, so to speak, without having to do much for it. Call it black humour, but this hits the nail on the head.

“Musically, the song is often described as a typical pounding Godsnake song with groove and power. Both by the band itself, but also by other listeners. One can perfectly imagine a festival audience jumping to the approaching apocalypse. Maybe such a party mood can still provide some respite regarding the impending last judgment.”

Godsnake issued second full-length studio album Eye For An Eye on May 12th, 2023 through Massacre Records.

Eye For An Eye was recorded and produced at LSD studios in Lübeck, Germany by Lasse Lammert. Onslaught guitarist Wayne Dorman guests on the track ‘Story Of A Ghost’.
