EX DEO Release Third Studio Album ‘The Immortal Wars’

Canadian metal group Ex Deo, which feature Ancient Roman-themed lyrical content and are fronted by Kataklysm vocalist Maurizio Iacono, issued third full-length studio album The Immortal Wars on February 24th, 2017 through Napalm Records.

Recording sessions took place at JFD Studios in Dallas, Texas, and at Pirate Studio in Montreal, Canada with Kataklysm guitarist Jean-François Dagenais.

The outing’s main concept deals with Punic Wars, a series of three wars fought between Rome and Carthage from 264 B.C. to 146 B.C. In addition, The Immortal Wars features other subjects on Ancient Rome.

Directed by Ivan Colic, a music video was filmed for the track ‘The Roman’, which can be viewed below.

Second studio record Caligvla was released in August 2012.
