DELAIN Release Fourth Album ‘The Human Contradiction’
April 4th, 2014

Dutch symphonic metal group Delain issued fourth studio full-length album The Human Contradiction on April 4th, 2014 in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland through Napalm Records. The label also scheduled release in the rest of Europe for the 7th, and North American release for the 8th.

Nightwish vocalist / bassist Marco Hietala guested on several tracks.

The track listing was as follows;

05. ‘Tell Me, Mechanist’
06. ‘Sing To Me’
07. ‘Army Of Dolls’

In its first week of release, The Human Contradiction sold roughly 1,900 copies in the United States, landing at position 182 on the Billboard 200 as well as position 8 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart. The record landed at position 24 in Switzerland, at position 25 in the Netherlands, at position 40 in Germany, at position 44 in the United Kingdom, at position 65 in Belgium, at position 82 in Austria, and at position 106 in France.

A music video was filmed for the track ‘Stardust’. An official lyric video was released for the song ‘Your Body Is A Battleground’, meanwhile.

Third studio record We Are The Others was released in June 2012.
