ANATHEMA’s DANIEL CAVANAGH Streams New Solo Album ‘Monochrome’ In Its Entirety
October 11th, 2017

Daniel Cavanagh – guitarist, singer and principle songwriter for Liverpool, England-based progressive rock band Anathema – issues full-length solo studio album Monochrome on October 13th, 2017 through Kscope.

Cavanagh commented: “The album has a late night, candlelit feeling, evoking the light of dusk as the summer sun sinks below the horizon, setting the scene for thoughts and meditations that many people will relate to. A lot of this material could easily have made it on to the last Anathema album (or any future Anathema album) as that’s how highly the band rate it.

“There are several highlights for me and ‘The Exorcist’ and ‘The Silent Flight Of The Raven Winged Hours’ are among some of my best works of the last decade. Taking them from the band was not an easy decision but I am glad; they’re so personal as to not need more input.”

Monochrome has been made available for streaming in its entirety and can be accessed below.

The outing features guest vocal contributions from former The Gathering singer Anneke van Giersbergen, while Anna Phoebe provides violin on three of the album tracks.

Monochrome was recorded at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool, engineered by Andrea Wright and mastered by Anathema’s Daniel Cardoso.

Cover artwork was created by illustrator Danny Branscombe.

The track listing is as follows:

01. ‘The Exorcist’
02. ‘This Music’
03. ‘Soho’
04. ‘The Silent Flight Of The Raven Winged Hours’
05. ‘Dawn’
06. ‘Oceans Of Time’
07. ‘Some Dreams Come True’

Monochrome‘s recording line-up was as follows:

Daniel Cavanagh (vocals, guitars, piano and keyboards)
Anneke van Giersbergen (guest vocals on tracks 2, 3 and 6)
Anna Phoebe (guest violin on tracks 3, 4 and 5)

Daniel Cavanagh’s covers record Memory And Meaning was released independently in August 2015.
