CROWBAR Part Ways With Bassist Jeff Golden; Rejoined By Todd Strange
June 6th, 2016

New Orleans, Louisiana-based doom / sludge metal group Crowbar have parted ways with bassist Jeff Golden, revealing this development on June 5th, 2016.

Crowbar frontman Kirk Windstein issued the following statement: “Being in a band is like being in a relationship and things don’t always work out.

“We want to thank Jeff for his dedication and loyalty and we sincerely wish him and his family all the best in the future.”

Golden commented: “I received the news today that I am no longer in Crowbar. Won’t go into detail so don’t ask, but I will be back on the road shortly working with another band. Best wishes to all involved, thanks for the memories.”

Jeff Golden joined Crowbar in September 2013, hailing from Bolton, Connecticut. Prior to joining the Crowbar ranks, Golden lived in Estero, Florida.

Tenth studio record Symmetry In Black – issued in May 2014 – features the man’s bass parts.

Crowbar also revealed that Golden had been replaced by their former bass player Todd Strange. A founding band member, Strange appeared on Crowbar’s first six full-length studio albums before his departure in 2000.

An 11th full-length studio album is due for release later in 2016. The effort was recorded at OCD Recording And Production in Metairie, Louisiana with engineer / producer Duane Simoneaux.
