BLOOD FEAST Release ‘Chopped, Sliced And Diced’ EP
December 21st, 2018

New Jersey-based thrash metal band Blood Feast issued four-song EP Chopped, Sliced And Diced on December 21st, 2018 through Hells Headbangers.

The outing consists of a new track, ‘Concubine’, and re-recorded versions of songs originally released by the band in the 1980s – ‘Hunted, Stalked And Slain’, ‘Darkside’ and ‘Chopping Block Blues’. The CD and cassette versions of the EP includes two bonus tracks; a reworking of the 1989 song ‘Chemically Imbalanced’ and a live rendition of ‘By The Slice’. The latter was recorded during Blood Feast’s appearence at the True Thrash Fest in Osaka, Japan in February 2018.

Guitarist Adam Tranquilli commented: “I felt early on that we should keep the pattern that was set back in the day – an album, followed by an EP with a brand-new track. However, unlike the Face Fate EP [1987], this time, we went with re-recordings rather than remixes for the other tracks.

“These new studio versions of classic songs from the first two albums mark the recording debut of Adam Kieffer behind the kit, and are ferocious beyond words. Plus, having a warts-and-all live track helps convey our live energy, while honouring our fans and friends in Osaka.”

Chopped, Sliced and Diced was mastered by Toxic Holocaust mastermind Joel Grind.

The track listing is as follows:

01. ‘Concubine’
02. ‘Hunted, Stalked And Slain (2018)’
03. ‘Darkside (2018)’
04. ‘Chopping Block Blues (2018)’
