ASHES OF ARES Release Debut Self-Titled Full-Length Album
September 6th, 2013

American metal group Ashes Of Ares issued its debut self self-titled full-length album in Europe (excluding the United Kingdom) on September 6th, 2013 through Nuclear Blast Records. The label also scheduled a United Kingdom release for September 9th, and subsequently a North American release for September 17th. The outing was cut in part at Morrisound Studios in Tampa, Florida with producer Jim Morris.

The track listing was as follows;

03. ‘On Warrior’s Wings’
04. ‘Punishment’
05. ‘This Is My Hell’
06. ‘Dead Man’s Plight’
07. ‘Chalice Of Man’
08. ‘The Answer’
09. ‘What I Am’
10. ‘The One-Eyed King’

A limited CD digipak edition includes a bonus track, specifically an acoustic version of ‘The Answer’. In addition, two different double-LP versions were also released.

Directed by David Brodsky, a music video was filmed for the track ‘This Is My Hell’. The clip in question was recorded on August 3rd in an old steel foundry in Newburgh, New York along the Hudson River. An official lyric video was also released for the song ‘Dead Man’s Plight’.

The ensemble’s line-up was as follows;

Matt Barlow (vocals, ex-Iced Earth / Pyramaze)
Freddie Vidales (guitar and bass, ex-Iced Earth)
Van Williams (drums, Nevermore)
