AMOTH Unveil Music Video For ‘Alice’ Track
January 28th, 2022

Helsinki, Finland-based melodic / progressive metal band Amoth have filmed a music video for the track ‘Alice’, which can be viewed below.

Speaking about the song, guitarist Tomi Ihanamäki said: “The verse riff of this song was shown to me by Alice Cooper in my dream! I woke up and immediately wrote the riff down. That’s where the name of this song comes from, so thanks Alice!

“There are two main characters in this song: a stripper and her pimp. The lyrics are almost like a dialogue between those two. Very catchy and ‘easy to get into’ song with strong and memorable melodies. I knew this song needed an 80s style chorus so that’s what it has.”

Amoth issued third full-length studio album The Hour Of The Wolf on January 28th, 2022 through Rockshots Records.

“This is by far our best album yet! Superior performances from all of the musicians,” commented guitarist and main songwriter Tomi Ihanamäki. “Much better production and songwriting. It’s not a fast-food album. Some of the songs are quite complex so it takes probably more than one listen to really get into!”

The track listing is as follows:

01. ‘Alice’
02. ‘The Man Who Watches The World Burn’
03. ‘Wounded Faith’
04. ‘Wind Serenade Part I’
05. ‘Wind Serenade Part II’
06. ‘We Own The Night’
07. ‘It Ain’t Over Yet’
08. ‘Traces In The Snow’
09. ‘The Hour of The Wolf’

Amoth’s line-up is as follows:

Pekka Montin (vocals and keyboards, Ensiferum)
Tomi Ihanamäki (guitars)
Mikael Rauhala (guitars)
Anne Lanttola (bass)
Oskari Viljanen (drums)

A music video was filmed for the track ‘The Man Who Watches The World Burn’. In addition, official lyric videos were created for the title track and the songs ‘It Ain’t Over Yet’ and ‘Traces In The Snow’. All four clips can also be viewed below.

Second studio record Revenge was released in January 2016 via Inverse Records.
