ABATTOIR To Reissue Debut Studio Album ‘Vicious Attack’

Los Angeles, California-based speed metal group Abattoir reissue debut full-length studio album Vicious Attack on June 22nd, 2015 through Marquee Records.

Abattoir originally issued Vicious Attack in July 1985 through Combat Records.

The outing was recorded at Hitman Studios, Abattoir intending to record an inaugural demo on a $3,000 budget. Mixing took place at Indigo Ranch Studios, while mastering was handled by K Disc Mastering. Combat Records subsequently signed the ensemble, opting to release the demo without any further enhancements. Vicious Attack’s cover artwork was designed by Cord Graphics, and based on a concept conceived by bassist Mel Sanchez.

Guitarist Juan Garcia and drummer Robert Wayne were omitted from the album’s credits given they had since moved on, the original release displaying a photo of a subsequent line-up completed by guitarist Danny Oliviero and drummer Danny Anaya.

On June 22nd, 2015, the album will be reissued by Marquee Records. Opening track ‘Screams From The Grave’ is available for streaming through SoundCloud, and can be accessed below.
