German guitarist Axel Rudi Pell issued compilation album The Ballads VI<\/em> on April 21st, 2023 through Steamhammer \/ SPV.<\/p>\n

\u201cLooking back, there is not a single ballad during the almost 35 years of my solo career that I need to be ashamed of, quite the contrary: some of them are still among my favourite songs today,\u201d commented Axel Rudi Pell.<\/p>\n

The Ballads VI<\/em> includes two newly recorded instrumental tracks (\u2018Revelations\u2019 and \u2018Hidden Secrets\u2019), two new cover renditions (\u2018Diamonds And Rust\u2019 and \u2018Dust In The Wind\u2019), and a new original song (\u2018Morning Star\u2019).<\/p>\n

Previous installments were released from 1993 through to 2017.<\/p>\n

An official lyric video was created for the track \u2018Morning Star\u2019. \u201cLyrically, \u2018Morning Star\u2019 is about a love doomed from the start,\u201d Axel Rudi Pell said. \u201cMusically a typical ARP ballad with a very emotional guitar solo from me at the end. The solo is taken from my demo version that I recorded at home.\u201d<\/p>\n
