Whittier, California-based thrash \/ death metal band Exmortus have released an official visualiser video for the track \u2018Storm Of Strings\u2019, which can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

\u2018Storm Of Strings\u2019 is a cover rendition of new age artist Yanni\u2019s song \u2018The Storm\u2019, which was based off of the great Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi\u2019s concertos \u2018The Four Seasons\u2019.<\/p>\n

Regarding the song, frontman Jadran \u201cConan\u201d Gonzalez said: \u201cWe’ve been meaning to cover this piece for a long time and now it feels right for Necrophony<\/em>. Honouring two artists at once, we give you a heavy metal shred version of Yanni\u2019s arrangement of Vivaldi\u2019s \u2018Summer Concerto\u2019. Enjoy the groove, enjoy the passion!\u201d<\/p>\n

Exmortus issue sixth full-length studio album Necrophony<\/em><\/a> on August 25th, 2023 through Nuclear Blast Records. <\/p>\n

\u201cNecrophony<\/em> was an album title idea for as long as I can remember,\u201d frontman Jadran \u201cConan\u201d Gonzalez commented. \u201cThis symphony of the dead couldn\u2019t be realized for a collection of songs until now. Finally, we have our darkest and most classically inspired work yet, with artwork by the great Toha Mashudi to match perfectly. We returned to Sharkbite Studios to have the mighty wizard that is Zack Ohren aid us again in forging our metal, and resulted in the finest steel we\u2019re all proud to wield on the battlefield.\u201d<\/p>\n

As referenced, Zach Ohren returned, acting as producer, engineer, mixer and masterer for Necrophony<\/em>. Recording sessions took place at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California, with the album tracked in just under two weeks.<\/p>\n

On Necrophony<\/em>, Exmortus have lyrically gone from a Conan The Barbarian<\/em> and Gladiator<\/em> type of aesthetic to some of \u201cthe eeriest and evilest Lovecraftian and Tolkien-esque tales,\u201d according to a press release.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was designed by Toha Mashudi.<\/p>\n

A music video was filmed for the track \u2018Mind Of Metal\u2019. In addition, official lyric videos were created for the songs \u2018Oathbreaker\u2019 and \u2018Beyond The Grave\u2019. All three clips can also be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Fifth studio record The Sound Of Steel<\/em> was released<\/a> in June 2018 via Prosthetic Records (excluding Japan). Marquee Inc. scheduled Japanese issue to take place the same day.<\/p>\n
