German pagan \/ folk metal band Feuerschwanz issued 11th full-length studio album Fegefeuer<\/em> on July 7th, 2023 through Napalm Records.<\/p>\n

The track \u2018Bastard von Asgard\u2019 features a guest vocal contribution from Eluveitie frontwoman Fabienne Erni.<\/p>\n

Lyrically speaking, Fegefeuer<\/em> generally covers long forgotten legends and heroic battles. The track \u2018SGFRD Dragonslayer\u2019 lyrically references Siegfried \/ Sigurd the Dragonslayer as one example, while \u2018Uruk-Hai\u2019 takes its name from a breed of Orcs in The Lord Of The Rings<\/em> (1954-1955) series. On the other hand, \u2018Berzerkermode\u2019 takes inspiration from the Vikings.<\/p>\n

Several versions of Fegefeuer<\/em> include the live bonus album Live In Wacken 2022<\/em>, recorded on August 5th of that year at the Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany.<\/p>\n

Music videos were filmed for the songs \u2018Bastard von Asgard\u2019, \u2018Berzerkermode\u2019 and \u2018SGFRD Dragonslayer\u2019. In addition, an official lyric video was created for the title track. All four clips can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Tenth studio record Memento Mori<\/em> was released in December 2021 via Napalm Records.<\/p>\n
