LIV KRISTINE Releases Music Video For \u2018River Of Diamonds\u2019 Title Track Feat. MOONSPELL\u2019s Fernando Ribeiro<\/strong><\/span>

Stavanger, Norway-born vocalist Liv Kristine, currently of German \/ Norwegian folk metal band Midnattsol and formerly of Theatre Of Tragedy and Leaves\u2019 Eyes, has filmed a music video for the title track of her latest album River Of Diamonds<\/em>. Featuring guest vocals from Moonspell frontman Fernando Ribeiro, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Regarding the collaboration and video, Liv Kristine said: \u201cI\u2019ve know Fernando since touring together in 1996. Through the years he\u2019s been a great, supportive friend and inspiration to me. It\u2019s an honour having Fernando as my duet partner on \u2018River Of Diamonds\u2019. Moreover, for the making of this clip, he had some brilliant ideas which I completed with the superb help from my dear husband, Michael. The clip was filmed in Portugal and Switzerland and edited in Cyprus by our creative friend Andreas \/ Dark Star Vid. Prod.\u201d<\/p>\n

Liv Kristine issued sixth solo full-length studio album River Of Diamonds<\/em> on April 21st, 2023 through Metalville Records.<\/p>\n

All of the tracks on River Of Diamonds<\/em> were composed by Kristine’s long-time friend and former Theatre Of Tragedy guitarist Tommy Olson at his Black Rider Records studio in Tau, near Liv Kristine’s birthplace of Stavanger in Norway.<\/p>\n

Compositions were created out of the studio in 2021 and 2022, Olsson composing and handling pre-mixing duties, Kristine devising lyrics and melodies, and subsequently mixing and mastering by Eroc.<\/p>\n

\u2018Our Immortal Day\u2019 is a duet with \u00d8sten Berg\u00f8y, while Moonspell frontman Fernando Ribeiro guests on the title track. Sister and Midnattsol bandmate Carmen Elise Espen\u00e6s duets on the track \u2018Love Me High\u2019, while Kristine\u2019s husband Michael Espen\u00e6s provides vocals to the cover rendition of late Deep Purple keyboardist Jon Lord\u2019s solo track \u2018Pictured Within\u2019. Closing out the effort, a cover interpretation of the Cyndi Lauper song \u2018True Colours\u2019 was re-recorded by Rocco Cogliati with keyboards and piano.<\/p>\n

\u201cEach song follows a path of strong authenticity and unbound creativity, which is my innermost and first criterion since Theatre Of Tragedy (Theatre Of Tragedy<\/em>, 1995), Deus Ex Machina<\/em> (solo, 1998) and Lovelorn<\/em> (Leaves\u2019 Eyes, 2004),\u201d Liv Kristine commented. \u201cThe lifeline that flows through all twelve compositions unveils a heart-based personal path, a sense of deeper truth and a soul vision of pure bliss consciousness – an eternal river of diamonds.\u201d <\/p>\n

Fifth solo studio record Vervain<\/em> was released in October 2014 via Napalm.<\/p>\n
