American doom metal band Spirit Adrift have filmed a music video for the track \u2018Hanged Man\u2019s Revenge\u2019, which can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Spirit Adrift issued fifth full-length studio album Ghost At The Gallows<\/em> on August 18th, 2023 through Century Media Records. <\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to write something timeless, that summed up the entire journey of Spirit Adrift,\u201d commented mainman Nate Garrett. \u201cSubconsciously, each album I do tends to have a theme or make a point. I didn\u2019t realize it when I was writing, but the new album seems to encapsulate the grieving process. I realized when I was done with it that lyrically all the stages of grief are present. It\u2019s a way to mourn, it\u2019s a way to grieve, to take painful things that happen in our lives and make something powerful and positive out of it. That\u2019s been the goal with this band from day one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spirit Adrift\u2019s previous outing have been described as largely solo affairs, whereas Ghost At The Gallows<\/em> has been deemed the closest Spirit Adrift has come to capturing a band vibe. \u201cWhile we didn\u2019t track this record as a full, live band, Mike and I did track live with drums and guitar to capture that real, raw explosive human energy that\u2019s imperfect and dynamic. I think it shines through,\u201d said Garrett of studio sessions for the album.<\/p>\n

Sanford Parker at Chicago, Illinois\u2019s Electrical Audio and Jeff Henson at Texas\u2019s Red Nova Ranch engineered and co-produced Ghost At The Gallows<\/em> alongside Garrett. Chris \u201cZeuss\u201d Harris mixed and mastered. <\/p>\n

Cover artwork was designed by Jeremy Hush.<\/p>\n

Directed by William Felch and inspired by Michael Flanagan\u2019s Midnight Mass<\/em> series, a music video was released for the track \u2018Barn Burner\u2019. In addition, official lyric videos were created for the songs \u2018I Shall Return\u2019 and \u2018Death Won\u2019t Stop Me\u2019. All three clips can also be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Fourth studio record Enlightened In Eternity<\/em> was released<\/a> in October 2020 in North America via 20 Buck Spin. Issue elsewhere in the world was handled through Century Media Records.<\/p>\n
