Swedish industrial metal band Deathstars have filmed a music video for the title track of their latest album Everything Destroys You<\/em>. Directed by Dam\u00f3n Zurawski for Future Legends Films, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the video, frontman Andreas \u201cWhiplasher Bernadotte\u201d Bergh said: \u201c\u2018Everything Destroys You\u2019 is a video that literally destroys the band. We have killed the band in quite a few of our videos, and for those who want to see us dead once again this is another excellent opportunity to see that happen.\u00a0On one hand you could see Nightmare [Emil N\u00f6dtveidt, lead guitar] busy behind swaying chains in the cellar, while Skinny [Jonas Kangur, bass] is working on a double bass at the same time as I got electric shocks from a depraved nurse.\u201d<\/p>\n

Deathstars issued fifth full-length studio album Everything Destroys You<\/em> on May 5th, 2023 through Nuclear Blast Records.<\/p>\n

Everything Destroys You<\/em> was produced by lead guitarist Emil \u201cNightmare Industries\u201d N\u00f6dtveidt at Black Syndicate in Stockholm, Sweden, and was mixed and mastered by Jay Ruston in Los Angeles, California.<\/p>\n

Predecessor The Perfect Cult<\/em> was released just shy of nine years previous, in 2014. \u201cThe reason it\u2019s been taking so long is that we simply wanted \u2013 and needed \u2013 a break after intense touring and so on, and on top of that the pandemic happened so tours were postponed and the release with them, so it feels fantastic to finally be able to present Everything Destroys You<\/em>,\u201d said lead guitarist Emil \u201cNightmare Industries\u201d N\u00f6dtveidt.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis album is more of an outgoing piece and feels well calibrated when it comes to illustrating the band\u2019s world for the last years,\u201d added frontman Andreas \u201cWhiplasher Bernadotte\u201d Bergh.<\/p>\n

Everything Destroys You<\/em> is autobiographical in nature, it is suggested. \u201cEverything Destroys You<\/em> is the face of the excesses of our nights of opulence in the city. We always write about our lives, and there\u2019s no fiction, spirituality, or soul in the marrow of Deathstars,\u201d said Bergh. \u201cIt\u2019s just the scarred city life in the raw.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fourth studio record The Perfect Cult<\/em> was released in June 2014 via Nuclear Blast.<\/p>\n
