GOZU Make New Track \u2018CLDZ\u2019 Available For Streaming<\/strong><\/span>

Boston, Massachusetts-based stoner rock band Gozu have made the track \u2018CLDZ\u2019 available for streaming via YouTube, which can be accessed below.<\/p>\n

Gozu issue fifth full-length studio album Remedy<\/em> on May 19th, 2023 through Blacklight Media \/ Metal Blade Records.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a certain maturity mixed with a childlike enthusiasm to play music, and we all are better players now than on Equilibrium<\/em>,\u201d commented vocalist \/ guitarist Marc Gaffney. \u201cWe have all really tried to look at what we enjoy but more what we do not enjoy. Playing music is a gift and when it becomes A Nightmare on Elm St Part 37.3<\/em>, you are done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Remedy<\/em> was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Dean Baltulonis at Wild Arctic studios in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe band wanted a very heavy groove-oriented album with singalong choruses,\u201d Gaffney continued. \u201cWe also wanted sonically to hit you in the chest, like a three-combination, left-right-left, like Micky Ward. Harmonies and melodies were something we really looked at and wanted to shine, and thick guitar tones, driving bass and drums were under the microscope.\u201d<\/p>\n

Remedy<\/em> marks the recording debut of drummer Seth Botos, who laid down his parts in a day-and-a-half.<\/p>\n

\u201cSeth brings such an impeccable work ethic and freshness to the band that it was infectious,\u201d Gozu said. \u201cHe is the breath of delicious fresh air the three old men needed. He reminds us of a young Kevin Bacon \/ Wayne Rooney.\u201d<\/p>\n

Remedy<\/em> will be made available in the following vinyl colours; blue \/ white melt (United States variant) and red \/ black melt (European variant).<\/p>\n

Directed by Shawn Reilly and produced by Punch Dance Studios, a music video was filmed for the track \u2018Tom Cruise Control\u2019. \u201c\u2018Tom Cruise Control\u2019 will take you riding into the danger zone,\u201d the band said. \u201cIt will take you right into the danger zone! Turn \u2018n\u2019 burn.\u201d<\/p>\n
