Apocalyptic Incantations<\/em> is the third demo from Dublin, Ireland-based one-man black \/ death metal project Clunaculum. This release is the brainchild of a fellow named M. Void who is also responsible for Annihilation Hammer.<\/p>\n

With Apocalyptic Incantations<\/em> you get dragged into a furnace of evil sludge as slowly you are roasted like a pig, coated with silt and soot and finally your corpse is reduced to ash. Clunaculum is the sort of barbaric noise that somehow acts as one fetid blur so that when faster segments merge with slower, pounding oozing there is no discernible difference. In other words, the tracks on offer are a network of hellish, cavernous noises constructed as great flabby walls of toxic fumes.<\/p>\n

\u2018Pact Of Blood And Flame\u2019, \u2018Manifesting The Inferno\u2019 and \u2018Menstrual Conjuration\u2019 are just foul resonations that echo from dank walls, with nasty rushes of primitive and arcane tumult led by indecipherable coughs of darkness. At times there is a catchiness to proceedings, but there is no escaping the utterly miserable underground nature of this malicious, suffocating beast. Approach with caution!<\/p>\n
