Sounding like it was concocted in the mid-80s, <em>Into The Void<\/em> is the debut full-length album from Chilean maniacs Trastorned who formed in 2009 out of Santiago.<\/p>\n<p>What you get here are wild solos, fast-paced riffs, hammering percussion and bass and seething vocal assaults. I guess this sort of unholy barrage is well-oiled in South America, after all, the continent has been producing high grade shit like this for decades, and so long may it continue.<\/p>\n<p>These guys manage to inject the ears with rusty aggression, but never once do they sacrifice a great melody (\u2018Metal Violence\u2019). And then there are those crossover gang chants (\u2018Witch Hunt\u2019) and downright blazing and almost technical dramas (\u2018Insanity\u2019).<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes you just want to be hit by an authentic missile that doesn\u2019t peter out, and this is the record you need to start your new year.
