San Francisco, California-based heavy metal band Metallica issued 11th full-length studio album 72 Seasons<\/em><\/a> on April 14th, 2023 through their own Blackened Recordings label.<\/p>\n

Frontman James Hetfield commented: \u201c72 Seasons. The first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves. The concept that we were told \u2018who we are\u2019 by our parents. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are. I think the most interesting part of this is the continued study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Much of our adult experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry.\u201d <\/p>\n

72 Seasons<\/em> was recorded and mixed by Greg Fidelman at Metallica HQ in San Rafael, California, and co-produced by Fidelman, James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich.<\/p>\n
