BLACK ANVIL To Release Fifth Studio Album \u2018Regenesis\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

\nNew York City-based black \/ thrash metal band Black Anvil issue fifth full-length studio album Regenesis<\/em> on November 4th, 2022 through Season Of Mist.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a more stripped down and aggressive songwriting approach,\u201d explained Black Anvil frontman Paul Delaney. \u201cHaving time to digest As Was, to understand where we were then versus where we are now was key. We always focus inward with our writing, never wanting to repeat ourselves, while also not losing our identity in a stretch to sound different.\u201d <\/p>\n

Lyrically speaking, the concept for Regenesis<\/em> was \u201crenewal, as well as the process \/ journey to get here outgrowing our past,\u201d continued Delaney. \u201cBlack Anvil has always been a departure from our past, a vehicle for us to grow as individuals, like a snake constantly shedding its skin. We don\u2019t look back, but never forget.\u201d<\/p>\n

Regenesis<\/em> was recorded with Colin Marston at Menegroth, The Thousand Caves, and mixed and mastered by Tore Stjerna at Necromorbus Studio. Danny \u201cEzec\u201d Diablo provides guest vocals on the track \u2018NYC Nightmares\u2019.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was designed by Metastazis.<\/p>\n

Created by Emmy nominated visual artist Sean Pierce and features actress Lauren Bonner, a music video was released for the track \u20188-Bit Terror\u2019. \u201cWe are empty shells at once thought separate,\u201d Black Anvil said in reference to the song. \u201cWe are one with the earth. This is not the end. We seek the stars still.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition, an official visualizer video was created for the track \u201829\u2019. \u201c\u201829\u2019 invokes the trust & willingness of our true Father to guide, foster and ultimately love,\u201d Black Anvil reckoned.<\/p>\n

Designed by Guilherme Henriques, an official lyric video was released for the track \u2018Castrum Doloris\u2019, meanwhile. \u201cA reckoning of the final order avoiding the tunnel vision of fear when releasing into the void and utmost holy channel,\u201d the group said in reference. \u201cWear the funeral crown with pride thus-forth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fourth studio record As Was<\/em> was released<\/a> in January 2017 via Relapse Records.<\/p>\n
