California-based death metal band Autopsy have filmed a music video for the track \u2018Knife Slice, Axe Chop\u2019. Directed by Phil Pattison, the age-restricted clip can be accessed via YouTube below.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the song, Autopsy mainman Chris Reifert said: \u201cEver headbanged and barfed at the same time? Check out the video for our new song \u2018Knife Slice, Axe Chop\u2019 and see how it feels. Our buddy Cam [Schwarz] and his crew of lunatics at Rabid Dog have given us the blood n\u2019 guts fest that we\u2019ve always wanted and we can\u2019t wait for you, our beloved Autopsy freaks to shove this nightmare into your eyes and ears. Tell yer pals!\u201d<\/p>\n

Autopsy issue eighth full-length studio album Morbidity Triumphant<\/em><\/a> on September 30th, 2022 through Peaceville Records.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe moment has finally arrived for a new full-length Autopsy album to slither out into the public and people will have to deal with it. Buckle up, it\u2019s a raw, rough and ugly ride!,\u201d commented Chris Reifert.<\/p>\n

Morbidity Triumphant<\/em> was recorded at Opus Studios, with long-associated engineer Adam Munoz at the helm. Mastering was completed by Ken Lee.<\/p>\n

The album marks the recording debut of Greg Wilkinson, Reifert\u2019s bandmate within the Static Abyss fold. \u201cWorking with Greg on the Autopsy record was totally different than the Static Abyss one, mostly since Autopsy is a complete band with their own pre-established ways of doing things \u2013 we just abducted him into the band and had him roll with our ways, which he took to like a fish to gasoline so much so that he contributed a song musically which fit in perfectly with the rest of the sickening anthems on the album,\u201d Reifert shared.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was designed by Wes Benscoter. \u201cWes delivered another stunner. What a maniac!\u201d Reifer explained. \u201cWe didn\u2019t give him much to work with as usual. I think, maybe, just a couple of song titles and themes maybe and his imagination did most of the work. The album title came along after the fact. After having our minds blown by Wes\u2019 art we arrived at Morbidity Triumphant which seemed to fit the theme of the painting as well as the way we feel about the state of the band in general. We\u2019ve been working hard at our sick craft with zero compromise and it seems we\u2019re still hitting our stride somehow.\u201d<\/p>\n
