But then again, they did split back in 1987 before re-emerging in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Refusing to be consigned to heavy metal history, Tysondog\u2019s latest record is a surprisingly varied outing within its solid metal framework; whether it\u2019s the Saxon-fuelled war anthem \u2018Batallion\u2019, the groove-laden title cut, \u2018Midnight\u2019, or the doomy trudge of the immense \u2018Waiting For God\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s so much power on offer here with this nine-track effort, with a gravelly vocal snarl, thrash tinges in certain dynamics, flirtation with power metal (\u2018Dead Man Walking\u2019) and clanking New Wave Of British Heavy Metal.<\/p>\n<p>And it\u2019s difficult to oppose the suspenseful strains of \u2018Paper Cuts\u2019 or the ballsy hammering of \u2018Defiant\u2019.
