Northwest Indiana-based space rock band Cloakroom have released a music video for the track \u2018Doubts\u2019, which can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Cloakroom issued third full-length studio album Dissolution Wave<\/em> on January 28th, 2022 through Relapse Records.<\/p>\n

Dissolution Wave<\/em> is \u2018a universe created by Cloakroom guitarist \/ vocalist Doyle Martin as a way of processing the last few years\u2019 leading up to the album\u2019s release, according to a press release. \u201cWe lost a couple of close friends over the course of writing this record,\u201d he commented. \u201cDreaming up another world felt easier to digest than the real nitty-gritty we\u2019re immersed in every day.\u201d <\/p>\n

According to the aforementioned press release, \u201cwithin Cloakroom\u2019s space western, an act of theoretical physics\u2014the dissolution wave\u2014wipes out all of humanity\u2019s existing art and abstract thought. In order to keep the world spinning on its axis, songsmiths must fill the ether with their compositions. Meanwhile, the Spire and Ward of Song act as a filter for human imagination: Only the best material can pass through the filter and keep the world turning.\u201d<\/p>\n

Featuring lyrics based on an imagined cosmology, Dissolution Wave<\/em> marks Cloakroom\u2019s tenth anniversary as a band as well as their first outing with drummer Tim Remis – Remis joining Cloakroom\u2019s ranks in 2019. Dissolution Wave<\/em> was recorded at Earth Analog in Tolono, Illinois, with engineering and mixing from longtime soundman and childhood friend Zac Montez. Included are loops and piano on the track \u2018Doubts\u2019 by Matt Talbott, as well as exterior percussion on the song \u2018Lost Meaning\u2019 by Jason Gagovski.<\/p>\n

Second studio record Time Well<\/em> was released in August 2017 via Relapse.<\/p>\n
