WIEGEDOOD Issue Visualizer Video For New Track \u2018Carousel\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Belgian black metal band Wiegedood have released a visualizer video for the track \u2018Carousel\u2019. Filmed by Filip Brans, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne riff descending round and round into the abyss like a sputtering carousel. Pulling and pushing downwards at the same time,\u201d commented Wiegedood.<\/p>\n

Wiegedood issue fourth full-length studio album There\u2019s Always Blood At The End Of The Road<\/em> on January 14th, 2022 through Century Media Records.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s Always Blood At The End Of The Road<\/em> focuses on the filthiest and most disgusting parts of human nature and society,\u201d commented Wiegedood. \u201cIt steers clear from the typical black metal themes and concepts, instead zoning in on the struggle we lead within, trying to overcome the fact we are all made from that same filth. Exploring places the previous trilogy didn\u2019t even scratch the surface of, both lyrically and musically. A first-hand look into pure disgust, a psychotic ride with synths, tape-recorders, hot club jazz and distressing samples. A definite switch from our previous work, a dark turn into something unexpected and unwelcome.\u201d<\/p>\n

Directed by Jonas Hollevoet, a music video was filmed for the track \u2018Nuages\u2019. \u201cA black metal homage to Django Reinhardt,\u201d said Wiegedood in describing the track. \u201cSo chaotic and dissonant that the man himself would have hated it for sure.\u201d <\/p>\n

Created by Jaak De Digitale, a music video was also released for the song \u2018FN SCAR 16\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe SCAR (Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle) is a family of gas-operated (short-stroke gas piston) automatic rifles developed by Belgian manufacturer FN Herstal (FN) in 2004,\u201d Weigedood explained. \u201cThis family of rifles consist of two main types. The SCAR-L, for \u2018light\u2019, is chambered in 5.56\u00d745mm NATO cartridge and the SCAR-H, for \u2018heavy\u2019, is chambered in 7.62\u00d751mm NATO. Both are available in Close Quarters Combat (CQC), Standard (STD), and Long Barrel (LB) variants.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition, an official visualizer video was created for the track \u2018Now Will Always Be\u2019. \u201cA seemingly never-ending mantra dedicated to the now,\u201d shared Wiegedood. \u201cA hypnotic drone that evolves into a melodic opus.\u201d<\/p>\n

Third studio record De doden hebben het goed III<\/em> was released in April 2018 via Century Media.<\/p>\n
