Kemi, Finland-based melodic metal band Sonata Arctica have filmed a music video for an acoustic rendition of their track \u2018For The Sake Of Revenge\u2019. Directed by Joonas Bergh\u00e4ll, the clip can be viewed below. <\/p>\n

Speaking about the song, keyboardist Henrik Klingenberg said: \u201cOriginally recorded for Unia<\/em> back in 2007, \u2018For The Sake Of Revenge\u2019 was a bit of an odd-ball – actually, the whole album was – nevertheless we somehow managed to look at this song in a different light and present the essence of it in a totally new way. It turned out so good that we even had to make a video for it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were incredibly lucky to get to work with one of the most internationally acclaimed Finnish directors Joonas Bergh\u00e4ll. With his handpicked dream team, he shot us out in the woods, on deserted roads and even under water, back here in our hometown, Kemi. We\u2019re really happy with how this single and video turned out, enjoy!\u201d<\/p>\n

Sonata Arctica issued compilation album Acoustic Adventures \u2013 Volume One<\/em> on January 21st, 2022 through Atomic Fire Records.<\/p>\n

The first of two parts, Acoustic Adventures \u2013 Volume One<\/em> consists of acoustic adaptions of tracks from Sonata Arctica\u2019s discography. The effort was recorded and produced by Mikko Tegelman and the band at Studio57, Finland. In addition, Tegelman, handled mixing and mastering alongside bassist Pasi Kauppinen.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was designed by longtime collaborator Janne Pitk\u00e4nen.<\/p>\n
