UNTAMED LAND Issue Lyric Video For New Track \u2018The Heavenly Coil\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Akron, Ohio-based one-man atmospheric metal project Untamed Land \u2013 helmed by multi-instrumentalist Patrick Kern \u2013 have released an official lyric video for the track \u2018The Heavenly Coil\u2019. Created by Ingo Sp\u00f6rl, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Speaking about \u2018The Heavenly Coil\u2019, Kern said: \u201cThis song features the most dissonant and intense riffs on the album, but eventually transitions to a sparse and atmospheric mood of contemplation. When the distorted guitar comes back in, the tone is much different, and the story has taken a dramatic twist. You\u2019ll have to listen to the album to see where it goes from here!\u201d<\/p>\n

Untamed Land issue second full-length studio album Like Creatures Seeking Their Own Forms<\/em> on October 8th, 2021 through Napalm Records. <\/p>\n

Patrick Kern commented: \u201cI would hesitate to call this a black metal album. It\u2019s meant to be a cinematic journey into a dark and fantastical old west setting, and various genres and sounds are used to bring that story to life. Lyrically, whereas the previous album dealt with the eternal struggle of the solar hero, this time we delve into a sort of gnostic Beauty And The Beast<\/em> story, ultimately revolving around the feminine role in creation and the tension between the world of matter and the world of forms. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe album ended up reflecting my own spiritual journey that occurred all throughout the writing and production process. I had a great time experimenting with many different styles and sounds for this release and am excited to share this new chapter in the Untamed Land world!\u201d<\/p>\n

Like Creatures Seeking Their Own Forms<\/em> includes violin performances by Rita Torrens and vocal contributions by Caroline Joy and Jacob Wherley.<\/p>\n
