RIVERS OF NIHIL Premiere \u2018The Void From Which No Sound Escapes\u2019 Music Video<\/strong><\/span>

Reading, Pennsylvania-based technical death metal band Rivers Of Nihil have filmed a music video for new track \u2018The Void From Which No Sound Escapes\u2019. Directed by David Brodsky and Allison Woest for MyGoodEye, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the song, guitarist Brody Uttley said: \u201c\u2018The Void From Which No Sound Escapes\u2019 is a song that was put together pretty early in the writing process for The Work<\/em>. It features some familiar sounds that people have come to expect from our band, while also highlighting some new sounds and textures that we\u2019ve never experimented with before.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rivers Of Nihil issued fourth full-length studio album The Work<\/em> on September 24th, 2021 through Metal Blade Records.<\/p>\n

The outing can be streamed in its entirety via YouTube below.<\/p>\n

Guitars, synths and keyboards for The Work<\/em> were tracked at the home studio of member Brody Uttley. Rivers Of Nihil then went for the third time in a row to Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland at Atrium Audio for the tracking of the drums, vocals, bass, and sax, as well as mixing duties. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve done so many sessions with those guys that they\u2019re basically an extension of our band at this point. They usually know what we like, and we always encourage them to roast us to make stuff better,\u201d commented Uttley. <\/p>\n

Alongside the band, James Dorton from Black Crown Initiate provided some vocals on \u2018Episode\u2019, Grant McFarland played cello on \u2018The Void From Which No Sound Escapes\u2019, and Uttley\u2019s friend Stephan Lopez helped out with all of the field recordings. Zach Strouse provided baritone, soprano and alto saxophone parts.<\/p>\n

The Work<\/em> was made available in the following coloured vinyl formats; 180g black (EU exclusive), silver with blue and black splatter (EU exclusive – limited to 500 copies), – natural clear with black and red splatter (EU exclusive – limited to 300 copies), crystal clear with white and turquoise splatter vinyl (Kings Road exclusive – limited to 200 copies), red and white melt (EMP exclusive – limited to 200 copies), transparent orange with black swirls (Eyesore exclusive – limited to 300 copies), silver \/ black marbled (Impericon exclusive – limited to 200 copies), aqua blue \/ canary yellow galaxy (US exclusive), and white \/ cyan blue galaxy (US exclusive).<\/p>\n

Music videos were filmed for the tracks \u2018Clean\u2019 and \u2018Focus\u2019. In addition, an official instrumental playthrough video was released for the song \u2018MORE?\u2019. All three clips can also be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Third studio record Where Owls Know My Name<\/em> was released<\/a> in March 2018 via Metal Blade.<\/p>\n
