DREAM THEATER Release 15th Studio Album \u2018A View From The Top Of The World\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Long Island, New York-based progressive metal band Dream Theater issued 15th full-length studio album A View From The Top Of The World<\/em> on October 22nd, 2021 through InsideOut Music \/ Sony.<\/p>\n

A View From The Top Of The World<\/em> was produced by guitarist John Petrucci, with engineering and additional production by James \u201cJimmy T\u201d Meslin. Mixing and mastering was handled by Andy Sneap.<\/p>\n

With frontman James LaBrie in Canada, he initially wrote with the rest of the band via Zoom on a monitor in DTHQ – Dream Theater Headquarters), a combination live recording studio, rehearsal space, control room, equipment storage, and creative hive. In March 2021, LaBrie flew down to New York, quarantined, and recorded his vocals face-to-face with Petrucci. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe just love to play our instruments,\u201d observed Petrucci. \u201cThat never goes away. I love to be creative, write, and exercise that part of my mind. We\u2019ve been able to do this for a long time, and we don\u2019t take it for granted. Whenever we get together, we know we can\u2019t disappoint ourselves or our fans, so we manage to try even harder.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe approach every album like it\u2019s our first,\u201d added LaBrie. \u201cIt\u2019s been such a great ride, but we\u2019re not going to stop.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fourteenth studio record Distance Over Time<\/em> was released<\/a> in February 2019 via InsideOut Music.<\/p>\n
